Dr. Joseph H. McIsaac is a Certified Physician Executive and board-certified anesthesiologist with over 30 years of leadership experience at the intersection of healthcare delivery, strategic growth, and corporate governance. As a Certified Corporate Director and seasoned board member, Dr. McIsaac has helped guide major healthcare organizations through complex integrations, quality transformations, and successful M&A initiatives.

As Vice President and Board Member of a $100M multi-site physician group, he led operational strategy and helped design an M&A framework that drove over 200% revenue growth. His leadership was critical in aligning clinical quality with scalable business operations across seven hospitals and over 20 surgery centers—achieving safety metrics that dramatically outperformed national benchmarks.

Dr. McIsaac’s expertise extends to due diligence, quality systems harmonization, and governance modernization—core concerns in hospital M&A. He continues to advise health systems, private equity firms, and boards through McIsaac Consulting, LLC, with a focus on transaction strategy, post-merger integration, and regulatory alignment.

A U.S. Army veteran and former Rapid Deployment Medical Unit Commander with 31 years of federal service, he also serves in federal emergency response roles, contributing unique insight into operational risk, surge planning, and crisis leadership.

Dr. McIsaac holds an MD, MS in Biomedical Engineering, an MBA, and has completed advanced executive training in private equity, artificial intelligence strategy, and corporate finance at MIT, Oxford, Bocconi, and NYU. His work bridges the clinical, operational, and financial domains essential to successful hospital consolidation.
