Dr. Mary de Groot is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Quantum Healthcare Partners, where she focuses on the optimization of strategic growth, value creation, and market expansion.  An accomplished healthcare executive with over 30-years of experience, Dr. de Groot uniquely leverages a distinguished clinical background to drive corporate development initiatives and identify high-potential investment opportunities across the healthcare continuum.

Previously, Dr. de Groot served as the Executive Vice President for Innovative Healthcare Group, where her leadership directly resulted in bringing in over $1.4 billion in new revenue for hospital clients through optimization of reimbursement, cost reduction, and generation of new revenue streams.  Consulting within the medical healthcare sector, Dr. de Groot transformed hospitals into vital and responsive healthcare institutions with strong clinical outcomes, productivity and sustained economic growth.  Further experience includes hospital operations, strategic management, construction, mergers/acquisitions including addressing economic, procedural, and staff issues within healthcare environments.

Her clinical foundation is equally robust: she practiced Cardiology at Hartford Hospital and completed extensive medical training, including both a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Connecticut, and subsequent advanced fellowship training in Cardiac MRI at Beth Israel Deaconess and Heart Failure at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. This rare blend of clinical mastery and quantifiable financial success is further validated by her status as a Fellow of The American College of Healthcare Trustees.
